This is actually a live broadcast from XM satelite radio which aired the show live that night to a nationwide audience. The younger members of the band (lead guitarist Ben King in particular were a bit nervous about the broadcast as XM Radio has an audience of over 6 million.) But the performance was just brilliant that night.

The song selection superb. A perfect mix of the old classics and newer material from their 2003 studio album 'Birdland'...Jim McCarty had never drummed better, Chris Dreja (The Dapper Mr D. was spot on that night as well) Long time vocalist John Idan was visibly enjoying himself and harmonica man Billy Boy Miskimmin was blowing up a blue streak. Ben King (lead guitar) is really the best guitarist the band has had since Jeff Beck left. No kidding, folks. He's fantastic. Photos of that night are available at WWW.Yardbirds.US
